Know which problem each tool solves. Practice before the trip.

## Build from the tires up

Carry a full-size spare or a tire repair system. Add a compressor, gauge, jack, and correct wheel tools. Know the approved lift and recovery points.

Carry water, warm clothes, first aid, a headlamp, work gloves, and offline communication. Match the communication device to the route.

## Practice in daylight

Test the jack on level ground. Find the tow eye. Set up the satellite messenger. Measure how long the compressor takes to inflate a tire.
