TRAIL GUIDE 08 · ELECTRIC TRAVEL
Listen for changes in traction.
At low speed, a quiet drivetrain lets you hear wheelspin, a rock strike, or tire contact. Use these sounds to change your line.
A quiet drivetrain helps you hear the tires and the road.
Listen to the surface
Listen for wheelspin, rock strikes, trapped branches, and tire contact. These sounds do not replace a spotter or a camera.
People and animals might not hear the vehicle. Drive slowly near other trail users. Make eye contact before you pass.
Spend the torque gently
Use smooth accelerator input. Smooth power protects the road and keeps traction. It also helps the tire stay away from sharp rocks.
