TRAIL GUIDE 10 · SHARING PLACES WELL
How to share a place without loving it to death
Useful directions name the access, season, road surface, and the details that should stay private.
Give enough information for a safe trip. Do not expose a sensitive place.
Sharing places well: what to notice
Start with the legal approach, road surface, season, vehicle needs, and a clear reason to turn around.
Leave out fragile camps, private shortcuts, and anything that cannot absorb more traffic. A useful note does not have to reveal every coordinate.
Check the route before you leave
Check the current map, access notice, forecast, and required charging stops.
