TRAIL GUIDE 07 · TRAIL MANNERS

Quiet power still leaves tracks.

An EV is quiet, but its tires can still damage a trail. Stay on the legal road. Use smooth power.

Stay on the road and do not make a new track.

Stay on the legal line

Use the current Motor Vehicle Use Map or land-manager map. Stay in the middle of muddy sections. Prevent wheelspin. Turn around if the vehicle will damage the road.

Obey seasonal closures and private-property signs. A consumer map can show a closed road. The land manager decides what is open.

Let the quiet remain quiet

Slow down near camps, livestock, wildlife, hikers, and blind corners. Remove all waste, including damaged gear and tire-repair material.
